Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an adventurous game in the world of the Vikings, as it is quite different from the previous series. On November 10, 2020, this game released for PS4, Stadia, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, as well as Xbox Series X. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developed by Ubisoft Montreal, it’s an action video game. In this post, I will mention about Assasin’s Creed: Valhalla Review.
Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed is the most popular and longest-running video game series. In each part, players will immerse themselves in a certain era that actually explores architectural monuments. Although, its busy world is quite suitable for virtual excursions because the plot of Assassin’s Creed is far from complete historical accuracy.
Indeed, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has received a hand-crafted as well as the open world of Norway and East England. In this game, there is an addition of special locations such as Kyiv, where the gamer feels the actual world.
England occupies the game world and repeats the landscape of a real prototype, such as lowlands and hills, North Sea coast, dense forests and vast meadows, also rivers and swamps. The region’s system was abandoned and replaced with several large Kingdoms during the battle. However, the Viking settlers add a factor of global threat.
In the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay, the main influences are quite noticeable, for instance: small villages and larger settlements are found everywhere; also agriculture and animal husbandry are actively developed. In the game world, there are a couple of large cities where handicrafts and trade are also taking place. Fortresses defended strongholds with a large number of soldiers and bosses. Well, the Valhalla world’s dimensions are comparable to Odyssey; however, the terrestrial firmament is larger.
Since Ubisoft shows the Vikings migration to England, whereas the structure of the game world is freer and doesn’t tie the player to the character level. A player definitely loves to play the game because there are few activities at sea, surprise attacks, can’t fight with other ships and the Drakkar is mainly used to move the hero and companions.
In the world of Valhalla, there is also a northwestern part of Scandinavia with a harsh climate, steep mountains and cold waters under the majestic polar lights.

Map of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla game map is divided into zones, which contains the number of treasures, Christian temples and villages. However, without completing the level, a huge number of functions are not available in the game, for instance, fishing, some story missions, relics, selling hunting goods.
Two Shield in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
A player fight with two shields in battle, where blood gushes and limbs are cut off. Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has all the latest character, such as:
- Valhalla is brutal and violent.
- Origins is slow and heavy,
- Odyssey is airy.
It’s impossible to damage sponges of enemies because they die from a few bows hardly, one or two bows. In the end, instant execution is helpful with a hidden blade. The common giant zone has no annoying level that targets the health bar. The character level’s differences showed either in
- Green (the enemy is weaker)
- Red (the enemy is stronger).
Almost all opponents of high-level may be able to defeat by a weak hero, except bosses. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is pleasant and has many surprises in-game.
- Parkour improved to match the conditions of the game world,
- new animations ability to climb trees appeared.
- Periodically, Eivor fights the Nordic gods in special sections with the giant snake in Origins.
- you can hide in snow, mud and climb into a stack of snow
- Merge with the terrain if you have certain clothes.
A player fights like a Viking:
The combat system of Valhalla is similar to the Odyssey, but some differences occur. Meanwhile, Eivor can take different types of weapons in each hand, for example, you can take two axes, but it’s much cooler to take two shields. Through this way, you can effectively defend yourself and break the jaws of the pathetic Anglo-Saxons.
The fights become tougher and more brutal because of perfect animations, for instance, pierces with spears, cuts heads and chops off opponents’ hands. Every battle looks mesmerizing because of perfect combination with the setting,
But can’t be considered as boring, since health can be restored with the help of first-aid kits, somersaults as well as blocks consume stamina. If you are fighting with a powerful enemy, then you need to parry attacks on time and completely destroy, when you knock down the opponent’s stamina scale.
Assasin’s Creed: Valhalla Review: Pros and Cons

- The world seems more meaningful and man-made as compared to Odyssey
- Return of several classical mechanics
- Loot has become smaller
- More meaningful interaction
- Side quests essentially disappeared
- The story is not completely bound together. More like piece by piece…
- It felt like not assassin but a berserker
- The game is incredibly long and un-protracted
- The rest of the crew don’t affect anything
- Mismatch between original voice acting and translation
- Technical issues and lack of innovation
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, PC Xbox One, Stadia. Furthermore, the expectation is to be released on PlayStation 5.
PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Stadia – November 10, 2020
PlayStation 5 – November 12, 2020
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a ton of flaws that can represent a great experience for newbies as well as fans. However, those who abandoned the Valhalla series will experience a small wave of nostalgia for the old assassins who impeccably followed the credo and impeded the plans of the Templars. However, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is neither a bad nor a good part of the series.
